Elena Marinova, President at Musala Soft was guest speaker at The Belt and Road Youth Innovation Conference 2017 on November 10-12 in Beijing, China.

She presented the model of Musala Soft as an example for sustainable interaction among international organizations which The Belt and Road initiative is aiming to build. The title of her presentation was „Open Source, Business and Science – A WinX3 Combination. Smart Home Innovations and Practical Implementations“. She shared Musala Soft success with OpenHAB and Еclipse Smarthome, the contribution to open source, the immediate and indirect benefits for the business and the opportunities for scientific and applied research based on open source.

Musala Soft is the only Bulgarian company member of OpenHAB, which offers one of the most popular open source Smart home solutions. Еclipse Smarthome in its part is an open source Smart home platform which is also used by many multinational companies like Deutsche Telekom, Huawei, Mozilla.

The Belt and Road Youth Innovation Conference 2017 is organized by the Chinese Union of Information Science and Technology Societies and aims to encourage the scientific and technological achievements under the new globalization and industrial development trends, and also to explore the collaborations among the countries among “The Belt and Road”.

„The Belt and Road” is an initiative in China intended to facilitate economic connectivity among the countries on „the Silk Road“. The member countries are more than 70 with Bulgaria being one of them.
