Collanos Workplace, developed by Musala Soft with prize for innovation     (българска версия)

At the end of March the organizers of "Innovationspreis 2007 ITK" announced the prizes for innovations. It became known that the Workplace solution, which Musala Soft develops together with the Swiss company Collanos Software AG , won the award in category “Office Organization”.

The contest is organized by the German publisher Huber (Huber Verlag GmbH) and has as a goal to support SMEs when implementing IT solutions. The "Innovationspreis ITK" contest is being held since 2004 and awards are bestowed to companies presenting the most innovative products for increasing the competitive power of the SMEs. This year more than 1200 participants submitted their applications for innovative solutions making the choice of the jury quite difficult.

Collanos Workplace is a solution, which allows effective work of geographically dispersed teams and teams in movement as well as on-time sharing and coordination of a huge information sources. The product integrates all the tools used by users for communication with partners, colleagues, clients and friends - e-mail, instant messaging, file sharing etc. Collanos Workplace is platform-independent and this characteristic makes it unique in the area of the collaborative workplace software. The communication between the users is peer-to-peer and there is no need for a centralized server or additional infrastructure.

“Two months ago, a project that we developed for OMV Bulgaria won a prize for a corporate “IT project” for 2006. Now the product we develop with Collanos AG holds an award, of not less significance than the previous one. These successes push us to give and to do the best we can, and to be professionals in the software development field.” – stated Delyan Lilov, CEO of Musal Soft.
