Stanimir Boychev from Musala Soft delivered the presentation "Open heterogeneous information systems based on DB2 Express and Microsoft .Net and integration with Java through Web Services."

Before a large audience in the Radisson hotel in Sofia, Musala Soft presented the opportunities for integration of IBM DB2 database, Microsoft .Net development platform and Java-based information systems by means of the Web Services open standard for communication.

Within the IBM DB2 Express seminar Musala Soft, the only Bulgarian IBM Premier Business Partner for Software, presented its know-how in the development of open heterogeneous systems, based on the Express edition of the popular database management system IBM DB2. This software development approach gives enormous advantages to users – they are free to choose whatever solution they like, they can rely on their existing IT infrastructure and are not dependent on a single vendor. Putting together the best features of various technologies allows maximizing the return on IT investment. The open approach enables upgrading and integration of information systems, which makes it possible to utilize the advantages of e-business at low marginal costs.
