Team Bulgaria has brought home four medals from the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics for the third straight time after a successful participation in this year’s edition of the contest.
The final score for the to be eight graders from Sofia an Varna is three silver medals and one bronze – Atanas Dimitrov, Deyan Hadzhi-Manich and Blago Gunev took the silver, while Velislav Garkov earned a bronze. The eJOI 2019 was held in Maribor, Slovenia between August 23th and 29th with participants from 24 countries being a part of it.
The European Junior Olympiad in Informatics was founded back in 2017 in Sofia by IC President Krassimir Manev, Biserka Yovcheva, Aleksey Hristov and Elena Marinova. In its inaugural edition, held in Sofia, the Bulgarian team won two silver and two bronze medals and in its second year our participants came home with two gold medals, a silver and a bronze.
